sufaid kaghaz pe,
hari siyaahi se.

Naam-e-manzil-e-muraad.

Rakho aaj,
phir az-sare-naw,
umeed-e-shan-e-istiqbaal.

Parho aaj,
dobara lafz-e-awal,
talab-e-pakistan.

Open today,
a new book,
a new page.

Write today,
on a white paper,
with green ink.

Name of this
center of our faith,
destiny of our wishes.

Have again,
anew,
hope of a glorious tomorrow.

Read today,
those first words again
upon which we demanded this land.
